Sweater Weather Tag

First off, I’d like to thank the lovely Lainey for tagging me in this! I love everything about fall, and chilly weather, so it’s literally the perfect tag! Check out her blog for posts on life, health, beauty & motherhood! ūüėÄ

Favourite candle scent?

Marshmallow Fireside from Bath & Body Works. It’s been one of my favorites for years¬†now.

Coffee, tea or hot chocolate?

Hot chocolate! I like coffee, but only iced, and I have to be in the mood for it!

What’s the best fall autumn memory you have?

I went apple picking for the first time ever with my roommate & her friend my sophomore year of college. ūüôā

Which make-up trend do you prefer: dark lips or winged eyeliner?

How can I choose one?! They’re both fabulous, especially together. But winged eyeliner has a special place in my heart.

Best fragrance for fall?

I don’t wear perfume based on the seasons, I wear whichever perfume I grab first haha!

Favourite Thanksgiving food (or fall autumn food if you don’t celebrate Thanksgiving)?

Pernil.. my mom’s makes it soooooo good.

What is autumn weather like where you live?

Chilly, windy, and perfect. But lately, too damn hot…like hello weather, get it together.

Most worn sweater?

Lately I’ve been wearing a Las Vegas hoodie every day, it’s oversized and comfy!

Football games or jumping in leaf piles?

Leaf piles!

Favourite type of pie?

Pumpkin & Apple!

What song really gets you into the fall autumn spirit?

Again, I don’t really associate things with the season, so I can’t pick one song for this. Every song gets me hype and in a good mood hahah!

Is pumpkin spice worth the hype?

Pumpkin spice everything….BUT lattes. Those are foul. HAHA.

I’m tagging these ladies whom I’ve been communicating with daily..for a special surprise to be announced SOON! ;P

Temporary Hiatus..

So, of course I wasn’t sure if I should address this, or simply begin posting again and act like nothing happened. I’m sorry I fell off the face of the earth for awhile! Life just went in fast forward and I just knew I couldn’t keep up with the blog during that period. First I served as a grand juror for a MONTH, then went back to work for a week, and the following week left to DR for another week. Now it’s already December and I’m just wondering how is time flying by so quickly!?

I have a couple tag posts coming up (tonight) & then hmm a special little post on something I’ve been working on with a few other fellow bloggers! Then of course jumping right into Holiday themed posts! Let’s hope I don’t fall off too much, and can keep up! Gotta work to keep this blog up & running and growing bigger and better than ever! Xo

Underrated Youtubers: Alex Faction

I’m going to start a segment for my Rant Tuesdays called “Underrated” & I’m going to post on people I feel deserve wayyyy more acknowledgment for their talent whether they’re celebrities, youtubers, or just every day people! Let’s begin.

To start off this segment, I chose to write about a youtuber who I absolutely loooove.. Alex Faction! If you don’t know who Alex Faction is, here’s a quick intro on him & a picture of his face.

Alex Rivera

My name is Alex and I’m a professional Makeup Artist (MUA) living in Chicago. Here you will find my love for Special FX Makeup, Face and Body painting, and a few cameos of Beauty Makeup tutorials.

Just recently, I sent him a series of video snapchats telling him how aggravated I was that he didn’t have more subscribers. At the moment, he has over 96 thousand, but at the time, that wasn’t the case. He had over 60 thousand when I sent the rant, and I was truly annoyed as to why he didn’t have more. He’s amazing with SFX, makeup, & his alchy hauls are hysterical! Why does the subscriber count annoy me?? Because I once came across a Youtube channel of someone who literally had ONE video..but because they were young & had an accent, it had over a million subscribers. A MILLION. I wish I was joking, but that’s a true story. So of course, when I see someone as talented as him, with a TON of videos..who takes the time to film & edit, not have over a million is upsetting.

LIKE C’MON. TELL ME THIS MAN ISN’T TALENTED?!?!?!?!

You need to check out his channel, see a couple of his videos & then come back and tell me how right I am. Let’s help him get to 100K!!! He’s so close!! He’s currently doing 31 Days Of Halloween where he FILMS AND EDITS a video every single day in the month of October. Um, talk about dedication!! ¬†OH & did I mention how he answers my snapchats all the time & he’s such a sweet heart ?!?!? I love him!

Here’s where you can contact him!

Procrastinating Beauty Blogger Tag!

What better than a tag post to start off this week on a fun & random note?! Let’s jump right into it!

(tag originally found here)

lazygif

  1. Name a beauty regimen that you rarely do? Moisturizing my body after a shower. I normally just lotion up the areas that get the most dry & call it a day…and that’s if I remember to do that! Haha!
  2. Is washing your make-up brushes something that you do regularly?¬†I don’t know if I should answer this! Haha! Okay, Okay…um..it’s not something I do as often as I should.
  3. How long will you last with chipped nail polish? On my toes, months. On my fingers, um, depends. LOL..maybe about 2 weeks.
  4. How long will you put off buying/replacing a beauty product, even if you need it? This is not something I skimp on. If I need something, and I have a few extra dollars to repurchase it, I do.
  5. What is your worst beauty habit?¬†Touching my blemishes. I know you shouldn’t, as it could lead to scarring, but I can’t help it. I want it gone, not just chillin’ on my face!
  6. Name something non-beauty related that you put off doing all the time?¬†Changing my bed sheets. It’s just SO much work. But, then I remember that I have to be grateful to have a bed, and I quickly get over putting it off.
  7. When going out somewhere, do you leave getting ready to the last minute?¬†I try to plan, to make myself seem like I’m being organized, but I always end up behind schedule.
  8. Can you commit to spending bans?¬†100% no. LOL. Something I’m trying to work on is my willpower. I suck at changing my habits!
  9. How organized are your make-up and nail polish collections?¬†My makeup is in a huge case my aunt got me for my birthday last year, & my nail polish is all in a drawer, so I’m gonna say..pretty damn organized!

Feel free to tag as many people as you’d like!¬†I tag: Valerie | Brianna¬†| Kat | Rossy

Tagged the first 4 I see in my reader, but please feel free to do this tag even if you’re not tagged & let me know, in the comments below, so I can read your answers!! xo

Is this weird??

Like most people nowadays, I’m addicted to Snapchat. I love posting little snippets of my day to my story, or sending silly messages to my friends using various Snapchat lenses. It’s a lot of fun! A few times I’ve done mini makeup tutorials via Snapchat; I like to pretend I’m a Youtube Beauty Guru, haha! Anyways, today, one of my friends sent me a video snap asking me why I do I do my eye makeup prior to applying foundation. She said she has never seen anyone do their makeup that way, and was curious.

The simple answer for this? I do it to prevent eyeshadow fallout from getting stuck in my foundation/concealer. I hate when I apply my face makeup, and then when I go to blending my eyeshadow, I get pink/purple/black (you get the deal) flakes all over my face. Depending on the eyeshadow, it’s hard to wipe off after you’ve already applied your foundation/concealer; Blending shadow is NO JOKE.¬† So to¬†avoid this, I do my eye makeup first. ¬†Another reason I do my eyes first is because it’s my favorite part of doing my makeup, and it takes me the longest.

Do you do your eyes first? Or Do you prefer to do your face first?? Let me know in the comments below! ūüôā xo

HASK product review!

HASKHAIR1

I’m excited for today’s post because it’s on products I received recently, and have already fallen in love with! As you see on my profile page, I’m connected with a site called Brand Backer. On this site, bloggers have the opportunity to apply for different campaigns, hosted by various brands, and if you get chosen, you get sent the product for review!

*Disclaimer: Even though this post is powdered by BrandBacker, all opinions posted on the products are 100% honest and based on my personal experience using the product.

I got sent products from HASK‘s Argan Oil line. I was SO excited when I saw this campaign on Brand Backer. I LOVE Argan Oil. I have an Argan Oil serum that I apply to my hair prior to and after styling, and I also have an Argan Oil 7-in-1 treatment spray that I put on as well. When I was accepted into this campaign, I was beyond ecstatic. These products claim to be free sulfates, parabens, phthalates, gluten, drying alcohol and artificial colors..could you ask for anything better?!

In my package, I received: 1 Repairing Argan Oil Shampoo | 1 Repairing Argan Oil Conditioner | 1 Healing Shine Hair Treatment | & 1 Intense Deep Conditioning Hair Treatment | 1 Super cute bag

HASK HAIR 2

Today I decided to put these products to the test! The products all smell like citrus, which I wasn’t a fan of when I first read about it, but once I put it in my hair..it smelled delicious! As soon as I washed my hair with the shampoo and conditioner, I felt that my hair was instantly, noticeably softer. Untangling was a breeze.

Before washing & conditioning:

HASKHAIR3

Then, skipped my heat protectants, because I wanted to see the results from using SIMPLY the products I was sent, so I went straight to blowdrying. My hair wasn’t as frizzy as it would normally get, and It straightened a lot faster with a quick blow-dry. I don’t do anything fancy when I blow-dry, I simply leave my hair down & let the blowdryer dry everything as it flies all over the place haha!

HASKHAIR4

Next step was straightening! I applied some of the Healing Shine Treatment on every section of my hair prior to straightening. This might have been overkill, because I’m sure my hair will get greasier, faster..but I love shine. I wanted my hair to shine bright! To straighten my hair, I use a Chi Air.

HASKHAIR5

HASKHAIR6

As you can see, there’s a HUGE difference in my before & after pictures. What! I’m in love!! My Chi Air does a phenomenal job at making hair pin straight, but using these products on top of that just made the results THAT much better!

You NEED to get your hands on these products soon!!! I give them a 10/10 !! Click here to buy.

Have you tried any of these products before?! Let me know!!
