Procrastinating Beauty Blogger Tag!

What better than a tag post to start off this week on a fun & random note?! Let’s jump right into it!

(tag originally found here)

  1. Name a beauty regimen that you rarely do? Moisturizing my body after a shower. I normally just lotion up the areas that get the most dry & call it a day…and that’s if I remember to do that! Haha!
  2. Is washing your make-up brushes something that you do regularly? I don’t know if I should answer this! Haha! Okay, Okay…’s not something I do as often as I should.
  3. How long will you last with chipped nail polish? On my toes, months. On my fingers, um, depends. LOL..maybe about 2 weeks.
  4. How long will you put off buying/replacing a beauty product, even if you need it? This is not something I skimp on. If I need something, and I have a few extra dollars to repurchase it, I do.
  5. What is your worst beauty habit? Touching my blemishes. I know you shouldn’t, as it could lead to scarring, but I can’t help it. I want it gone, not just chillin’ on my face!
  6. Name something non-beauty related that you put off doing all the time? Changing my bed sheets. It’s just SO much work. But, then I remember that I have to be grateful to have a bed, and I quickly get over putting it off.
  7. When going out somewhere, do you leave getting ready to the last minute? I try to plan, to make myself seem like I’m being organized, but I always end up behind schedule.
  8. Can you commit to spending bans? 100% no. LOL. Something I’m trying to work on is my willpower. I suck at changing my habits!
  9. How organized are your make-up and nail polish collections? My makeup is in a huge case my aunt got me for my birthday last year, & my nail polish is all in a drawer, so I’m gonna say..pretty damn organized!

Feel free to tag as many people as you’d like! I tag: Valerie | Brianna | Kat | Rossy

Tagged the first 4 I see in my reader, but please feel free to do this tag even if you’re not tagged & let me know, in the comments below, so I can read your answers!! xo

Is this weird??

Like most people nowadays, I’m addicted to Snapchat. I love posting little snippets of my day to my story, or sending silly messages to my friends using various Snapchat lenses. It’s a lot of fun! A few times I’ve done mini makeup tutorials via Snapchat; I like to pretend I’m a Youtube Beauty Guru, haha! Anyways, today, one of my friends sent me a video snap asking me why I do I do my eye makeup prior to applying foundation. She said she has never seen anyone do their makeup that way, and was curious.

The simple answer for this? I do it to prevent eyeshadow fallout from getting stuck in my foundation/concealer. I hate when I apply my face makeup, and then when I go to blending my eyeshadow, I get pink/purple/black (you get the deal) flakes all over my face. Depending on the eyeshadow, it’s hard to wipe off after you’ve already applied your foundation/concealer; Blending shadow is NO JOKE.  So to avoid this, I do my eye makeup first.  Another reason I do my eyes first is because it’s my favorite part of doing my makeup, and it takes me the longest.

Do you do your eyes first? Or Do you prefer to do your face first?? Let me know in the comments below! 🙂 xo

HASK product review!

I’m excited for today’s post because it’s on products I received recently, and have already fallen in love with! As you see on my profile page, I’m connected with a site called Brand Backer. On this site, bloggers have the opportunity to apply for different campaigns, hosted by various brands, and if you get chosen, you get sent the product for review!

*Disclaimer: Even though this post is powdered by BrandBacker, all opinions posted on the products are 100% honest and based on my personal experience using the product.

I got sent products from HASK‘s Argan Oil line. I was SO excited when I saw this campaign on Brand Backer. I LOVE Argan Oil. I have an Argan Oil serum that I apply to my hair prior to and after styling, and I also have an Argan Oil 7-in-1 treatment spray that I put on as well. When I was accepted into this campaign, I was beyond ecstatic. These products claim to be free sulfates, parabens, phthalates, gluten, drying alcohol and artificial colors..could you ask for anything better?!

In my package, I received: 1 Repairing Argan Oil Shampoo | 1 Repairing Argan Oil Conditioner | 1 Healing Shine Hair Treatment | & 1 Intense Deep Conditioning Hair Treatment | 1 Super cute bag

Today I decided to put these products to the test! The products all smell like citrus, which I wasn’t a fan of when I first read about it, but once I put it in my smelled delicious! As soon as I washed my hair with the shampoo and conditioner, I felt that my hair was instantly, noticeably softer. Untangling was a breeze.

Before washing & conditioning:

Then, skipped my heat protectants, because I wanted to see the results from using SIMPLY the products I was sent, so I went straight to blowdrying. My hair wasn’t as frizzy as it would normally get, and It straightened a lot faster with a quick blow-dry. I don’t do anything fancy when I blow-dry, I simply leave my hair down & let the blowdryer dry everything as it flies all over the place haha!

Next step was straightening! I applied some of the Healing Shine Treatment on every section of my hair prior to straightening. This might have been overkill, because I’m sure my hair will get greasier, faster..but I love shine. I wanted my hair to shine bright! To straighten my hair, I use a Chi Air.

As you can see, there’s a HUGE difference in my before & after pictures. What! I’m in love!! My Chi Air does a phenomenal job at making hair pin straight, but using these products on top of that just made the results THAT much better!

You NEED to get your hands on these products soon!!! I give them a 10/10 !! Click here to buy.

Have you tried any of these products before?! Let me know!!

My newest obsession!

Last month or so, I made a trip to one of my favorite stores, Bath And Body Works. As I was browsing through their merchandise, I came across a sale on their Aromatherapy line. I fell in L O V E with their Lavender Vanilla Body Lotion, which is intended to calm feelings of stress to relax you before sleep. I LOVE lavender, so I was super excited to try this lotion & I was hooked! Not only did it feel moisturizing, it smelled great!

This weekend, I made another stop at B&BW & I picked up the pillow mist in the same scent!! As soon as I got home, I started spraying my whole bed; pillows, blankets, sheets, everything!! The only downfall I find to the spray, is that the scent doesn’t last that long. I find myself spraying it 2-3x before I fall asleep. I like the scent to be strong. However, I just noticed they also have a candle in this scent..I know what my next purchase is going to be!

Do you own anything from the aromatherapy line? What’s your favorite scent at Bath & Body Works??

My absolute FAVE!

Recently I was playing around with makeup and the finished product is one of my all time favorite looks I’ve ever attempted to recreate!!!! I get random bursts of makeup inspiration at all hours of the night, and this one night, I came across this random picture on Pinterest..the rest was history.

Now I know my version isn’t exactly the same, but I wasn’t expecting it to be. However, it allowed me to play with color combinations I probably would’ve never mixed prior to seeing this photo. Also, I couldn’t take a proper photo that showed the detail of the eyes, so I had to settle with this cross-eyed silly photo.

For this makeup, I mainly used my Jaclyn Hill Favorites Palette by Morphe. I also mixed a few shadows from Colourpop to get the base color on the lid. If you’d like a pictorial on this look, please let me know in the comments below. I’d LOVE to recreate this look again, if people request it.

MG Haul!

MG Haul

Welcome to another Makeup Monday where we discuss things beauty related! So, let me just tell you how excited I was to receive this package! It was a total surprise, because my brother ordered it for me for my birthday. In the package I received, a z palette, MG’s starter shadow kit, summer fling blush & MG’s insomnia pigment. I’ve been eyeing them for AGES. Everyone on YT RAVES about them, and I always wanted to make a purchase, but for whatever reason I never did. I was so happy my brother got them for me, because now I see what the hype is all about.  These are the most pigmented eyeshadows/blush EVER!  & The pigment ?! GORGEOUS (& can i mention it’s a dupe for MAC’s Blue Brown Pigment)! If you thought about ordering, you NEED to like yesterday.  You will NOT be disappointed.

If you want swatches on these products, please leave a comment below and let me know and I can dedicate a post to it!!
